Programme for Choko Social 16 June 2009

Dear Friend of Choko

We now have a tentative programme for the Choko Social at Cholsey School on Tuesday 16 June.
There will be some drinks and nibbles available from 7:30 and throughout the evening.

We will start speaking soon after 7:30, with short illustrated talks by various members of the Choko team on:
Choko as a community project
The school linkages - Cholsey School with Mamokaile School and Crowmarsh-Gifford School with Masekane School
Two major success stories - the Lafata Women's Enterprise Group and the Morabudi Special Needs Centre
Visits to sponsored children
The rain water harvesting project
We will also show a 10 minute video of the trip.

After the talk, there will be the opportunity to visit stands and talk to members of the group. There will be stands for:
ADP centre, including the water project, dairy, veg production
Morabudi special needs centre (then and now!)
Child sponsorship
What has changed (including the Lafata women)
Orphan feeding
Fuller video of trip and chat about the trip in general
Child-headed households
Mamokaile school
Masekane school

We look forward to seeing you then!
