James Butler of Choko is pictured presenting Jonathan Francis of World Vision with a cheque for £16,648 for the first half of a project to provide 840 households in the 10 villages in Kodumela with the skills and materials to save rainwater and use the saved water to grow their own food.
The money has been raised from product sales, the 2nd Choko beer festival, various fundraising events and donations – including support from Wallingford Rotary Club, in less than a year.
