We heard such good news at the last Choko committee meeting, we thought we should share it with all Choko Friends and Newsletter recipients immediately.
Disabled centre
As was mentioned in the March newsletter, Choko is aiming to sponsor the re-development of a disabled centre in Kodumela.

Since September 2007, Choko has raised around £14,000 towards this project. World Vision have now got the budget for this, which is slightly over £19,500. This means we are only £5,500 from the target. World Vision say work can commence immediately we have the full funds, and think it very likely that work on the building could be completed within six months. We would really like to raise these remaining funds and would welcome any donations and support of our fundraising activities, 2 of which are mentioned below.

Beer Festival
The Choko Beer Festival will be held on Saturday 28 September 2008 in the Laurence Hall, Cholsey from 11:00am to 11:00pm. It isn’t only beer – there are activities for all the family, including children!
You can sponsor a barrel or just come and enjoy yourself. Tickets (£4.50 are available from Ray Park Butcher's in Cholsey and Choko committee members, and on the gate at the event.Choko cards
Blank cards in a number of designs can be bought from Choko stands (next one at Cholsey Flower Show on 9 August) or directly by contacting info@choko.org.uk. See some samples below.
